Louis Tory Jr., at 18 years old, begins roofing under his Uncle Israel for $2.50/hour — double the minimum wage. He's newly married to Sandra and about to have his first child.

Tory’s Roofing is founded


Tory’s Roofing is founded. Louis, only 22, starts the business with a strong work ethic and a dream to build a legacy for his family.

1972

Official Incorporation Date


Official Incorporation Date: October 22, 1974. The company is formally registered as “Tory’s Roofing & Waterproofing, Inc.”

1974

Started commercial work and implemented safety protocols and modern quality control systems


Transitions from solely residential projects to taking on commercial roofing work, including apartment complexes and retail centers.
