Tory’s Roofing is founded. Louis, only 22, starts the business with a strong work ethic and a dream to build a legacy for his family.
Official Incorporation Date: October 22, 1974. The company is formally registered as “Tory’s Roofing & Waterproofing, Inc.”
Transitions from solely residential projects to taking on commercial roofing work, including apartment complexes and retail centers.
Begins taking on government contracts, expanding service into state and federal roofing work, a move that greatly boosts credibility.
Accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and maintains an A+ rating consistently from this point forward.
Business scales across Oʻahu. Starts working on high-profile buildings and schools, and builds long-term partnerships with general contractors.
Sons Mike, Bryan, and Brandon Tory continue working in the business as laborers and estimators, learning all aspects from the ground up.
Implements stricter safety protocols and modern quality control systems that become part of the company’s selling points.
